Core Aeration Featured Services

To avoid any unnecessary damage, have Rain One aerate your lawn.  You'll save money combining all annual services, not to mention the peace of mind you'll get from knowing your sprinkler system will be in the same state it was, prior to the aeration service.  Our technicians that arrive at your home to open or close your irrigation system will mark each head with flags.  The aeration crew will follow behind the technicians the next day (weather permitting) and remove the flags after the aeration has been completed.

To save money on multiple services, sign up for our annual seasonal contract here.  If you have decided against a seasonal contract this year, but would still like us to aerate your lawn, email our office or call 614.759.1196 to schedule an appointment.

Although fertilizing and proper hydration are key factors in establishing a lush green lawn, it is possible that they might be ineffective by themselves.  Aeration helps water and nutrients permeate the root system by removing small areas of your lawn called "plugs."  This process helps to break apart restricting thatch that can prevent your lawn from receiving the proper nutrition it needs.

The machines that remove plugs from your lawn are called "Core Aerators."  The prongs of the machine puncture holes that are inches apart over your entire lawn, so it is important to mark all sprinkler heads prior to this process. After the process has been completed, you will see some plugs on the surface of the lawn, but any extra plugs that land on the driveway and sidewalks should all be brushed or blown back into the lawn. It is advisable to wear an old pair of shoes in the lawn (if during the rainy season) until the first mow after the service.

There are a number of reasons why it is best to leave aeration to Rain One:

  • No hassle or additional charge to mark your sprinkler heads. It's all included!
  • No need to coordinate plans between two businesses. That way, there aren't any surprises or miscommunications about who's doing what, when.
  • Could your landscaper make a repair from inadvertent damage caused by their aeration, on the spot?
  • Flags are removed at the end of the service (also included).
  • Service with a smile! We wouldn't have it any other way. :-)

Aeration is recommended to be performed at leased once a year, twice if the health of the lawn is suffering. Call us at 614.759.1196 to schedule your aeration!
